Eliza Angel Tile

The artist, Janet C. Panozzo created this delicate angelic form in the likeness of her friends autistic child, Eliza. Original illustrations, hand carvings and mold work were done exclusively by the artist. Janet was moved by the natural pose of this autistic child, and the irony that her real age represents the innocence of a child who in truth will require life long care. Entrusted to angel care providers, it is easy to see the raw vulnerability of these special people. Originally intended to be a one of a kind to celebrate a mothers love of her child, the artist Janet and her friend of 25 years; Eliza's mother Liz, decided to reproduce this beautiful tile as a vehicle to create funds for the vocational training of people with autism. A non-profit organization serving the cause has been born. “Eliza's Angels” for Autism will benefit from your purchase and those funds will provide services for those in need.
